Where we work

Snap Repairs is a mobile appliance repair service based in Wollongong, covering the Illawarra & Shoalhaven — from Helensburgh at the top of the escarpment down through Wollongong, Dapto and Shellharbour to Kiama, Gerringong, Berry and the northern edge of Nowra. We repair washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and fridges, and we come to you: there’s no workshop drop-off and no carting a wet washing machine across town. Our technicians carry the parts that fail most often, so most repairs are finished at your home in a single visit.

What “service area” actually means

We’re on the road every weekday, and we plan each day’s jobs as runs — a northern run up the coast through Corrimal, Woonona and Thirroul, and a southern run down through Unanderra, Dapto, Shellharbour and on to Kiama. Booking you onto the run that already passes your suburb is how we keep the diagnostic fee down and turnaround quick: most jobs we’re there within the week, often within a couple of days. Wollongong itself is home base, so the city and its surrounding suburbs are covered just about every day.

The diagnostic fee depends on distance, and you’ll know it before you book. For the core Illawarra — Wollongong and its suburbs, Dapto, Albion Park, Shellharbour, Warilla, Oak Flats, Kiama, Jamberoo, Gerringong and the rest of postcodes 2500–2534 close to the Princes Highway — the diagnostic is $129, covering the visit, travel and finding the real fault. For the further ends of the patch — Helensburgh, Thirroul, Bulli and Woonona in the north, and Berry, Shoalhaven Heads and North Nowra in the south — it’s $169. If you go ahead, the diagnostic is the first line of your repair price: you’ve already paid it, so you only pay the balance. You never pay it twice. • Bulli — On the Princes Highway at the base of Bulli Pass, an easy and regular stop on our northern route.
• Corrimal — Central on the northern side, just off the Princes Highway, one of our quicker northern-suburb stops.
• Figtree — Just west of Wollongong on the Princes Highway, very quick for us to reach from the city.
• Warrawong — Just off the Princes Highway south of Wollongong near the lake, an easy and regular stop for us.
• Port Kembla — South of Wollongong off the Princes Highway near the port, quick to reach alongside Warrawong.
• Berkeley — On the lake's western side, just off the Princes Highway, easy for us to reach with Warrawong and Dapto.
• Albion Park — Inland off the Princes Motorway near the airport, a regular stop as we cover the Shellharbour area.
• Warilla — On the lakeside peninsula off the Princes Highway, a regular stop on our southern coastal runs.
• Oak Flats — Off the Princes Highway near the lake and airport, an easy stop alongside Albion Park and Shellharbour.
• Shell Cove — On the coast just south of Shellharbour Village, covered on the same southern runs, so it's quick for us.
